First mix chicken, garlic and ginger paste, turmeric powder, salt, garam masala, salt and chili powder. Let the marinated chicken sit for two hours.
After this, heat oil/butter in a pan and fry the onion till it becomes golden. Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook on low heat, gradually adding coconut milk until the chicken is cooked.
