Nashville, Tenn. — The Tennessee Titans wide receiver is activated Treylon Burke injured from reserve, and rookies will make their comeback Denver Broncos on Sunday.
Titans also activated the defensive back Elijah Molden From injured reserve and kept linebacker Zach Cunningham (elbows) and defensive backs Josh Thompson (knee) on IR.
The Burks missed the last four games as they suffered a turf toe injury against Indianapolis Colts in week 4. He has 10 receptions for 129 yards this season.
He attended practice this week and said he thought it had healed.
“I feel like I’m in the same shape as I left it,” Burke said Friday. “You start in practice, which translates into play. Knowing everything I did when I came back, I can play faster. I still feel like I’m in the position I was in before injury.” ”
Offensive coordinator Todd Downing said that Burks liked how he kept himself in shape and that he was “really impressed” when he was out.
Added Titans coach Mike Wrabel: “I thought he was really coming to the football and his ability to adjust to his pace of play.”
Tennessee’s passing game, which ranks last in the NFL, could use a boost. The Titans have conceded only 1,238 yards in the air this season, with their receivers catching a combined 51 passes and one touchdown for 658 yards.
