Student Council Vice President Bella Schroeder talks about why she wants to continue a program dedicated to the region’s military veterans.

“It is really important to recognize the giants and what they do for us every day and in the past. Sometimes students get so engrossed in our daily lives that we often don’t think about it but it happens to every student. It’s good to share and make sure they remember the importance of veterans and what they do for us.

After the high school program, Green County Veterans Affairs director Michael Byrell invited veterans to stay in the auditorium for a movie. The high school program is free and open to all veterans and the public.
