Washington will aim to keep the momentum going on Sunday in Houston after winning three of their last four games.

The Commanders will start quarterback Taylor Heinicke against the Texans on Sunday, and it looks like it's his job to bear the brunt going forward.

Although Week 1 starter Carson Wentz is set to return from a finger injury soon, Heinicke is expected to be the top QB in Washington.

With Wentz promoted to commanders, Heinicke led the club to a 3–1 record, which included a win over previously undefeated.

In addition to speed, the Commanders have another incentive to keep Heinicke on the field related to the off-season trade of Wentz.

Unlike second rounders, the Commanders would only have to send a third round pick to the Colts.

With Heinicke now in position to take over, Washington (5-5) will turn its attention to Sunday's game at Houston, which starts at 1 p.m. ET
